BMW R1200GS Adventure
Three bikes set off to explore some tracks that I spotted during some previous rides.

My self........GSA
Lamo..........GSA
Brenden.....800 GS

We dropped into the valley near Bothas Hill. I found some great single track next to the Inanda River and headed towards Nagel Dam. I then found a stunning road with awesome switchbacks but that turned out a dead end. We found a nice viewpoit above Nagel Dam but had to manhandle the bikes around to get back to the track. A bit of sweat but no tears thank goodness. :thumleft:

We then skirted Nagel Dam and found a lekker hidden valley that came out near the lion park outside PMB. We then crossed the N3 and headed towards Eston and the new skydiving club( Angels Way) for a bite and watch some jumping. Saw some cute Oribi buck while we were cutting through some grassland. Only found out afterwards it is an Oribi conservation area.....

We did not have much mud on the trip but when we arrived back at Marion Hill, Brendon departed back down to Durbs, I took Lamo on a little path I had seen and thats where we came apon the mud. Lamo was a bit close behind me when I had to give my bike to get through a section.
Lamo's bike was covered.... Karma is a bitch....lmao. Sorry Mattski.  :mwink:

All in all , a lekker day riding was had by all.

Good friends and fresh mud....................

Thanks for checking out this RR.

Ditto Phil.
Timing was a bit out for me this last weekend :'(

Hey Badger, nice one!

Do you have the GPS track for the ride?
Can I swap tracks with you if you have?

CRV.

Thanks CRV. Sorry.....it is bit of a joke and I get ripped off lots but I still operate off maps and instinct. ( when you get to the third square rock turn right down a path......) :thumleft:

Gunda has also asked so I think I must just take you and Gunda on a serious ride from Inanda through to Pmb side then you can log it.
Lamo has just started logging some of our routes so he might be able to help.

How technical do you like it?

I'm no expert and a nervous gravel rider, so for now I'm on a WR which can be treated with some disrespect  :thumleft:
I am also about to trade in my Capo so won't be using that for any sort of 'training'  :-\

As long as you have some patience I'm keen to learn anything.

Ever done some riding around the Shongweni dam area? Between Shongweni and Tala GR?

As long as you have some patience I'm keen to learn anything. Always, on my rides you choose, steep learning curve or gentle but the big variable is that your mild level might be my ' oh shit ' level.......... :mwink:

I have...........Are talking around Delville Wood station or the dirt roads running from the south side of Shongweni Dam through to Eston and around that test track out there.....?? I have heard about riding Itala's fence line but the pieces that I got to were quite overgrown.. ???

There is a waterfall near the quarry thats nice aswell that comes out around Hammersdale.??

Cant wait to ride again...... :thumleft:

great RR , badger we must check out that last section above the toll gate next time , hopefully with less mud, shot the mud bath

The Badger doesn't have a GPS.....He has a GSD......general sense of direction...and it doesn't need re-charging. :deal:

Farrrrrk....those switchbacks....that could abuse my rear tyre!!! >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D (going UP anyway...)

Replacement.......a striped bos leeu  :pot: (800XC)

I'm a tar rider with all the bad manners and have a lot to learn so most certainly you will have to take it slow  :3some:

Basically following the Mlazi river from where it enters the dam back up keeping south of Mpumalanga and north of the old voortrekker road.

The waterfall near the quarry is a short track, done it a few times in a cage.

Ek gaan 'skool slip' vrydag en sien wat gaan aan.  :thumleft:
