The terrain eased up a bit and I was able to relax and take in the views while riding

As we sat there, Mark told us to be careful when approaching the climb indicated by the oversized arrow. We should allow enough space as momentum is everything. Little did we know........ :peepwall: :peepwall:

Mark doesn’t usually warn us about obstacles or tech sections, so I could feel my heart throbbing in my throat,  knowing that up ahead we would probably face a proper challenge.  :pot: :pot:

Standing at the bottom of the climb, it looked rather intimidating. Rutted, littered with rocks and a few serious steps.

As always, Mark lead the way. He needed a little bit of assistance getting going after getting bogged down, but for the most part went up the climb in his usual clinical manner.

At the top, Mark got into a position from where he could laugh at the rest of us attempting to make it up this brutal climb [emoji12]
