Guys,
Got a 2005 1200 adventure.
I push the starter button, and I hear a clunck, which I think is the bendix thingy flying forwards, then all I hear is the starter motor running.
It does this for about 50 times, and then eventually it engages the ring gear, and the bike starts.
I took the starter out, cleaned and washed the front bit really well, a little spray oil and put it back. Sort of worked better, but not for long. Back to being a real mission now to start the bike.
For extra info, when the bike is hot, or has just been ridden, then it starts first touch.
