Last photos on the way home, hooked up with Pote for a while , always a pleasure to have Pote along .   :thumleft:  3 long days of very satisfying riding , love my KLR and how she handled. It was fanastic to see old friends and make new friends . I love riding with Wilddogs and what a great trip. Thanks to my riding buddies . Thanks Mambat for leading us in the dark to Brakkies farm after Sparky's accident . :thumleft:

But ai, it makes me heatsore when guys get this whole testosterone thing going and then just see red and forget that they are mortal.  :'(

I really feel for Hingsding as he had to carry all the pressure and I hope he hasn't actually made a loss this weekend , due to us being so busy with rescue ops and getting to the bar late. Thanks a lot again Hingsding and the great back -up team for a fantastic effort .  :thumleft: :thumleft:

Haai SIES Dewald. Ordentlike mense lees die ding. - en ek probeer nog kiekies opsit.
Dit was maar net een van die twee oulike bar ladies wat mooi gesmeek het terwyl ons vir Blinkes bietjie petril oorgetap het. Bokwa is bietjie rof en tel mos nie as 'n lady nie.

I haven't heard anything from Mambat yet, but I know he is back in Cape Town.

Weskus , hiers jou nanas. Ou Harry Potter het  hom glo nie eers vol oopgehad nie . Ek dink die grensdrade sal bietjie moet skuif vir die nuwe 1200LC en die KTM 1190 , daai 2km strippie raak te kort , die 1200 LC het eers begin vastrapplek kry  hier van 160 se kant af .

Boere se seun Brinkie , het n paar mooi runs gehad . Hy het begin by 203 gps spoed en kon hom opstoot na so paar runs na 213 op die gps . Op die 213 run was Mambat glo net so bikelengte agter hom . B&C het ook n paar lekker runs gehad .

Apart from all the injuries &  few other issues mentioned, it sure does seem that all-in-all.....there was a Gr8 time had by all & most definitely a trip I would still love to do. Hopefully next year round things will work out that I can join you guys.

a big thanks to Hingsding and his team for a great weekend.
It was great to see old friends again.
Occy and I arrived safely back at 5 this afternoon.
We spent an extra night on the pan, Hings you should not have sold us so much alcohol, and then last night at Skaapwagterspos in the Tankwa.

Abu , I was on the pan just after 1pm , pitched my tent , packed a beer and a camp chair and headed out on the pan . I spent about 2 hours there , just to take it all in . Your RR from last year had a lot to do with this . It's just a magical place to be , all there by yourself .  Just before 4 pm Brinkie came screaming down the pan towards me on his KTM . His first words , " Oom waar gaan die ouens dice ?" I think its a good thing he pitched up , because I started hallucinating  , mirrors on the pan , an oke on a 990  doing massive powerslides in 4th and 5th gear and the worst one of them all , everyone chasing Harry Potter down the pan .
