I see the 20 000 kilometre stigma is still going strong among the motorcycle brethren.
For most bikes serviced regularly that means around three or four services (including the initial 1K running-in service).
Maybe 5 or 6 services if, like me, you change oil more often.
For me that's just on or just under two years worth of riding from new (no commuting).
How is that considered old hat then?
