Ja moenie dat die klein ADVENTURES jou onder kry nie. Ek sien nog steeds my sidecar bou as work in progress.  :thumleft:
 
Gerrard, ek weet nie hoe jou uitleg werk nie, maar hoekom stop die outfit as die arm breek?  Gaan le die wiel teen die modderskerm?

Kan jy nie n stopper inbou wat, terwyl dit wheel travel toelaat, tog die wiel stop net voor dit iewers raak?

Dan kan n man aankruie na hulp.

Hopelik breek hy nie weer. Kon elke aankruip tot waar ek kon werk aan hom. Ek het nou twee maniere geleer om dit nie te doen nie so sal nou kyk om die ontwerp te verbeter
 
No offense Gerrard, without seeing the failures properly, my simplistic idea is that you welded the tubing components, with settings suitable for the tubing, nice welds no burn through  :thumleft: but maybe some of the thicker mechanical components were welded with the same settings? so not enough penetration in the welds. I may be totally wrong, but a possible? :peepwall:

None taken. I also think that is what happened when I joined two pipe thicknesses to make up the actuator arm.
 
You give Wify packing space and they will use it  :lol8:

Maybe an idea. My bellcrank is a solid piece from 8mm thick ms that was lasercut to shape. No welds.
So far so good

Net so, maar myne sal geweld moet word want dit moet clevises op die ente hê. Gaan drie boë maak met die middelste een korter
 
Having a rest day at Lake Pleasant in Sedgefield. Yesterday was a hard day with bad wind. I love driving the sidecar but I'm not fit for it so at night I crash and sleep like I've not done in a long time

Gerrard, when you say you are not “fit” for it, how different/strenuous is the riding compared to a normal boney? From one old ballie to another...

There is no comparison. Its no longer a bike. Works your whole upper body, especially hands wrists and forarms

daar is dit, se vir haar sy pak te veel die suspension kan nie dit handle nie  ;) en jy kort plek vir n welder  :lol8:
