Sometimes one needs to be alone, out in the open, on your bike. The ride turned out to be just that.
My riding partner for the day (his forum name is withheld due to possible defamation  ) already informed me the previous night that he is planning a heavy night. Mmm, taking into consideration that just the previous day he informed me that he is in bunny mode, I could sort of understand. But, I would still love to see him in the outfit? :evil4:
Although I had 2 routes loaded, I decided that I would be led by the road. I was in a very relaxed mood (the last time that I was riding moerig the bike responded by handing me 2 punctures ? lesson learned  ).
So onwards. Pretty much roads done on the past two weekends, but it still makes for some great scenery and riding. With the heavy rains the roads are also different than on the previous occasions.
Just to test the patience:
An abandoned house - ok, 'house' is probably too optimistic in description:
Ah, a new road, let?s check it out.
Some obstructions in the road. Luckily a hooligan in a bakkie came past to clear the road.
Who says the ta is a gay bike? Ok, this pic is not going to win any camelman pic competition. :?
Cornfields
And a camel farmer ? didn?t realize these are 'farmed' around here. (Please refrain from any crude innuendos, don?t want to step on any toes here.)
I?ve ridden past this spot so many times, time to investigate.
And then suddenly, it wasn?t a dream anymore?!
Ps If you are wondering why my wife is not riding with ? if all goes well, it will be at least another 7 months before she is ?allowed? to ride bike?
