Another great idea was born at friday drinks last night.
We should go for a semi technical ride on Saturday afternoon.
Of all the okes who were keen Jman rocked up, Bike ready, pre-scratched and everything.
The route we rode.
Started of easily then we came to some hills.
Looked a bit scary at first but we decided to give it a go.
I made it down ...
Then got the camera ready for Jman....
Where's he....?
Where's he....?
Ders he...!!!
cross country's better than the path
Then we followed the valley for a short while, but the sandy whoops got boring so when we saw the next hill Jman said let's go up.
so we did.. The camera never shows the real angle of the slopes.
I slowed a bit near the top because of large rocks and ended up stalling and after much wheel spinning and sideways riding got to the top.
Jman learnt from My mistakes and just flew up..
The top
We continued up and down and along for a while
Jman was realy getting the hang of the slopes.
Just to show his superiority he even used the tank to smooth the path on this one.
Unfortunately I was too late with the camera
but then he came flying past again
I love the views there even though the terrain is short brush and very rocky
Bakkie phoned and he was at the sandy playground so we said we'd meet him there.
Crossing the Missionvale road we road past the race track, shooting range and then down a slight slope.
The camera was at ±20° angle when taking this shot.
engine off... using clutch and front brake and paddling down.
occasionally with both back and front locked the bike just kept sliding.
Was very greatful for long legs
down along the sandy river bed then up the other side.
Phoned Bakkie to find he was behind us.. some how we had missed each other.
We agreed to all meet at the sand track.
road through an archway of trees.
Nothing like soft sand on the S bend
Then we played around in the sand while waiting for Bakkie.
Eventually he phones. "go on without me, helping someone fix a puncture"
But it was time for Jman to go home as his curfew was almost over.
We road out and parted ways with me going the Out of Africa pub were Bakkie finally caught up with me.
There we meet Fugly, Rone and Green Mamba, Posing around the new BMW 800 drinking beer.
