Transkei Epic

Hi Guys.
A couple of mates and I try to do an anual trippie. We are two groups, one from the Cape(capetown) and the other from Jo-ies. The trip date was from the third to the twelfth of August. The destination -Transkei via eastern Cape.

Will do the report as time allows and if the other members of this group want to add when they like, do so.

We, the Cape group, Mambat - our fearless leader, KTM 990s. Willie the Pretty one,KTM 990R. Psteyn - rigting bedonerd, KTM950s. Peter snr. Mambat's Dad, F800. Marco - the sea K4, 1200 GS.
Them, the Joburg group, Mike aka skilpad,F800 yellow. Johan - pandtjie KLR 650. Hannes - duikroll, GSA 1200 and last and least Gregg -ionlyfell4times, Truimph 800xc
All here in pick accept Peter snr.

Well, me, Pete snr and Willie are all retierd so we decided to leave a day before the rest and stay over in Montagu the Thursday and wait for Mambat and Marco to ride up from the Cape at 7 :30 the next moring. Great idea because leaving the Cape o a Friday in traffic ,nearly cost us our Fearless leader. Chick in car clipped his leg going down Blauuberg rd.

So met Peter snr at my house at 1 iesh and set out on our long awaited adventure.Off to toll road to hook up with Willie.

Well as luck would have it, we where very thirsty and hungry at the same time as we saw the Dros in Robertson. So

Stayed at a mates house in Montagu and proceeded to the Montagu hotel for dinner and drinks. Got to bed at 1:30 that morning as you normally do on first nights, why I don't know??? ???. Brekkie at the Padstall and joined up with the late comers from the Cape and we where of to Steytlerville.

On the road to Steytlerville, boyz are so excited. 10 days of bike talk and no home or office issues. :biggrin:

We hit Steytlerville at sunset Stayed at the Theatrical hotel and dinnered there too.
