Verneukpan 2012. 200km/h-report

Thanks Hingding for organising a sterling week-end. And to Bok Wa for riding back-up and for being able bartender.  :thumleft: :thumleft:

My bike needs a left ignition coil and am recovering from the flu so I was happy to ride back-up with Bok- Wa and I enjoyed it thouroughly. I don't know who spoke the most k@k him or me  . :biggrin: :biggrin:

The next morning it was misty and freezing.

Weskus , now that he has a KTM, is often seen fiddling with his bike. She is a beaut though so don't blame him for being so vatterig with his bike. :drif: :drif:

Tgg and his trusty KLR rode back up to the back-up vehicle to keep an eye on the booze and firewood and to make sure we arrived safely at Verneukpan .  :mwink: Ably assisted by his steering damper Windhoek Laager.  :mwink:

At the farm where we had brunch in the form of delicious home made Wors with rolls ( sheep mixed with game  :drif: :drif unfortunately Mapsourse had a flat tyre which took some time to sort out , eventually they put in a tube and it worked.

He had lots of hands helping him , mainly Hingsding .  :mwink:

While they sorted out the tyre, Tgg got some well- deserved rest from his party night at the Skou Saal kroeg.  :mwink:

The farmer arrives back from a semi and short hunting excursion with his friends. Coincidently he knows Bie from Jansenville .

While I waited for the guys to sort out Mapsource's flat tyre I chatted to the farmer's  lovely wife , the one who made the delicious wors. She also gave me a packet of wors to take with me, and wrapped it all nicely between iceboxes for me.  They have these beautiful Basset Hounds and they eat sheep , lucky dogs.

Her friend Lisa also had her dog , so I took some random photos of her as well , and her dog and with he and the farmer's wife .

Tgg is also on one of the photos ,but you have to look very closely otherwise you may miss him , he is wearing his orange camo pants,  so not too easy to see behind the aloes.   :imaposer:

On the way to Brandvlei we bumped into MapSource who had done the more technical road with some of the others. He looked very excited , as his bike was still going.  eepwall: :biggrin:

The 2 "road bikers" on their SuperTen, Buff and Dave , always looking fresh and handsome, despite having ridden up the more difficult route ( Wupperthal ) and despite drag racing on the pan . Don't know how they do it ?

On the way to Verneukpan we bumped into ( nearly really ) Jacque a friend of Weskus . He came along to the party . I have never seen anyone ride a 1200 GS like that , like its a 75 CC  :drif: It's his dad's bike.

I made some long shadows while I waited for Bok -Wa to have a smoke break. Tgg rides off.
