HELLO just joined the forum.did more or less the same route in 1996 except we went straight from rooidrom into the marienfluss and up van zyls pass.the meanest pass i have ever attemped and will never again except on a ktm 450 mx bike--did it on a AT 750 loaded for touring with no back-up cars.i do not think anybody on a DS bike have ever done the pass from the east to the west.will be interesting to know ??? the rest of the bikes were a supertenere,BMW 1000 GS,650 Dominator.

Hi Lucky. Nice report. Net n regstelling.

Browsed the ride reports and saw that I never posted my pics of our Nam Ban trip. So here goes. Better late than never. Sorry boys. Promise never to do it again ;)

Thought exactly the same thing.
Butch & Kaboef have both already bought and sold the next one after these ones.

Some very nice pics here Ama - glad you found them..

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME ..... :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

Stunning adventure ride and report which was absolutely captivating.

This is the first time that I have noticed in a ride report, that GPS coordinates have been included with the photo's.

Someone like myself and other overseas visitors, who visit the site and who have no idea where half these places are can look them up on Mapsource.

Well Done

Sjoe some very nice pics there Ama
That first pic of LS doing what he is good at: Shouldn't the kidney belt be the other way around? Or is that to keep the desired figure? ;D ;D
