Lekker pas op my agterstoep....ek het koffie.

Ons het weer diens gedoen by die Double Century fietswedren rondom Swellendam.
Die eerste van 250 spanne (12 fietse elk) het 05h00 uit Swellendam weggespring.
Kort ná sonop was ons in die vallei oos van Swellendam. Die veld en lug is vars en helder.

Tradouwpas is asemrowend mooi, soveel meer soggens vroeg

'n Plaasopstal langs die R62, hoog op 'n koppie, met uitsig oor die hele wêreld.

Die bekende boogbrug by Ashton.
Hy is 30 meter regs van die pad gebou en in 2021 na links gesleep om in lyn met die pad neergelê te word.

Fantastiese kleurvolle tuine, boorde, bome en blomme oral langs die pad in Bonnievale se omgewing

200km later eindig ons terug in Swellendam

I just love these blue cranes, they are back for the new breeding season. A bit late this year.

25 years ago these tracks would have been shining chrome like because of all the grain trains traveling because of it still being harvest season. Everything is transported by trucks now.

Attending the spit braai required some traveling. We chose the back routes of the Tankwa National Park and surrounds.

Short on options, the decision was to tow it to camp 37k’s away trying not to put anymore strain on it than necessary.

We’d been told the Doring wasn’t crossable. “Here, hold my beer”

Mine doesn’t have an air box! So those intakes must have been close to sucking water.

The Uitspan camp is back up and running after being blitzed by Covid and then the floods. I HIGHLY recommend staying there. It’s a very convenient distance from everywhere and Kyle is a fellow petrol head

And then after a fine evening of laughs, onto the vegetarians nightmare; the amazing annual Oasis spit braai

Next morning back over Katbakkies to the padstal
