Just returned from a two day trip into the Cederberg with my son. He is 18 and knows that Dad doesn't know and is way too cautious. So when I said "wear your boots as you may fall riding off-road and get your leg stuck under the exhaust" it was like talking to a brick wall. And when he fell and had his leg stuck under the exhaust (resulting in a nasty burn and us cutting the ride short) he was man enough to admit that he should have listened. I guess he is growing up.
And for all you other teenagers who think us old toppies talk kak, don't argue, just wear the right gear when you are told. You don't have to learn the hard way, we already did this for you when we were 18.
