Wonderful trip so far Adventurer!  :thumleft:
Just out of interest, why did you choose to do 2 border crossings -  Botswana and then Zim, as opposed to going straight to Beit Bridge border post and then Bulawayo?

LGF I am sure, when ADV gets to the last bit of B Bridge you will understand why.... I really dont wnat to go thru BB again if I dont have to!! but wait till the last ... :mwink:

Very lekka trip so far - um I definitely wont take that sea sick ferry trip tho, but look forward to the pics of K & C you promised GG!!!

Beit Bridge is a mission, and the Botswana way was only 20km longer. We did not expect to get stuffed around at those borders as much, they took about 2 hours each. I also like planning a trip where we do as little of the same roads twice, and we also planned on seeing Cecil John Rhodes' grave on the way from Plumtree, as it turned out we missed it anyway.

Thanks really enjoying the RR - must say The Victoria Falls is forever so beautiful and I can almost smell the Zambezi river  - brings back loads of memories  :)

Even though we 'chundered' big time and felt kark the whole night I would do it again, (with anti-seasick meds ) the ferry was a jol! It was perfectly fine the whole day, BUT....that night when the wind picked up.....2nd hand dinner and wine doesn't taste lekker...... :patch: :p

Awsome RR I see Milibizi has not changed much. We stayed in the cottage in the picture about 4 years ago. At that stage the ferry way not running anymore, glad to see it is back afloat.

Ok so lets back track abit... ;)

relaxed on the ferry Kurt doing business on his trip.....!!l and Carol educated me on my camera...anyway they very gladly
gave their sundowner snacks of delightful capenta to Rob and I to relish in...

This is just before we all eventaully bed down for the night!!!

As you can see the beds are quite close to one another...it was not long before Carol went down stairs....Kurt followed suit soon afterwards.... :D  the rest of us settled in for the night or so we thought.....

Soon the sails had to be battened down...they were flapping over our heads...

ZimtripDebs130.jpg

By now Rob has also got up to help.....

ZimtripDebs129.jpg

I in the meantime have gone downstairs to see if our steeds are still upright!!! I did this about three or four times during the night....but not without going to see how Kurt and Carol were...and having the occassional chuckle at their expense...

I might add that it was quite a mission to get all the way down to the vehicles, up to the next level and then up to the third level trying to balance on this wild ferry and not knock all the beds on the way to your own....

The day in Kariba was absolutely funtastic... in that it took a while before K and C could really eat but we all laughed so much about the "chundering and upchucking" and the whole rock n roll ride o the ferry trip....

At the expense of another couple (Dave and Elaine) I also took this photo...I have subsequently mailed them...
