I have to go back a piccie or two ..this was at the Chinoyi caves a really pleasanat stop over... that water in the
cave simply STUNNING!!!

Rob and Kurt were constantly on their phones....Rob at the Troutbeck Inn...this is simpy a must...esdpecially the 'interesting ride' up to World's view!!!!

ZimtripDebs196.jpg

Carol at World's View... it was almost as though Carol was programmed ... I really battled to get her to remove her helmet!!!

On then off and the piccies....

The other piccies are there to be seen and you simply have to make the effort to ride up there to truly value the sight that befalls one....breathtaking...

The Fire that has been going since 1951...this is one of the numerous fireplaces (others not long burning as the main fireplace) in the many lounges and dining rooms, libraries, reading rooms you name it...theres a fire burning

At White Horse Inn the meal that evening  was just unbelievable...you kno when you have been riding all day and you sit down to this wonderful 'homecooked meal' ...the proof was certainly in the eating...

Carol warming up at the fireplace....

There was so much to discover on the route and yep Kurt that r4iding up in the Bvumba valley proved
very "interesting" as did the riding to the Troutbeck Inn up to nyanga....   I was tested....

As Kurt says our hearts became heavier and heavier as this adventure started drawing to a close...but there was still some exploring to do.....
Carol at the Bridge at last without her helmet ....BTW we were the 'lazy ones' we rode across and Carol walked the distance. ;)

While at Lake Kyle, Carol had the Zimbabwe ruins booked for us for the afternoon....we should have had more time here...

ZimtripDebs233.jpg

ZimtripDebs232.jpg

Off we went to the ruins...totally fascinating...the museum stunning under CCTV naturally ...as much as Carol begged and pleaded to take a photo...the security guard would not hear of it....as he said either we would be arrested or he might not be around to tell the tale....

ZimtripDebs235.jpg

ZimtripDebs238.jpg

with the setting sun Carol needed a sunset piccie...this meant a'quick hike' up to the top structure of the ruins.... ::) ::)
we get to the base and the option is a 460m modern hike or the 350m ancient hike.....well when you have motoX boots on you opt for the easy hike....yea guys you prob laughing at us ....but I was not goung to leave Carol alone here and the "neanderthal guys" were 'clever' ... :ricky:

Whew that was a hike !!!

ZimtripDebs240.jpg

ZimtripDebs239.jpg

ZimtripDebs241.jpg

somewhere down there the neanderthals were waiting.....we managed to get the stunning pics and 'hightailed it down otherwise we would be spending the night at the ruinbs.... ::) ::)

The hike up was worth every bit of hardwork up..... :thumleft: :mwink:

ZimtripDebs244.jpg

Kurt and Rob so dearly wanted a pic on a good piece of rock....me of course not cos this meant going out of that comfy boundary again....  always that trepidation....and I cant do this...it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought... :thumleft:

ZimtripDebs245.jpg

My Good trusty Beast  !!! :mwink:

At last we find ourselves at the Lion and Elephant Lodge..this was to be our last stop before hitting BB... :(

This proved a really stunning evening...

ZimtripDebs249.jpg

Kurt and Carol before our last Zimbo meal ...the ambience in this place is beuatiful....I think when there is water in that river it must  be truly magnificent... :mwink:

We were served coffee early the following morning... what a better place can be had to enjoy the awakening of nature and be at one with it... :mwink:

Carol rearing to go!!

ZimtripDebs251.jpg

Kurt and Rob enjoying there early coffee...

ZimtripDebs250.jpg

I have to add this piccie... Carol doping the hike up the ruins....the passages/walkways are very narrow... and yes you can see we had to 'work' going up, it was not easy....

ZimtripDebs250.jpg

Arriving in peak hour traffic on the R21 and to top it all the two Neanderthals lane splitting as though there were no cars around them.....    YeehAA

What an adventure simply AWSUM AWSUM AWSUM... I had ridden with Rob and Kurt on a previuos occasion... amuch shorter trip... and those who have ridden with them...  >:D >:D
