The surounding views of this place truly is wonderful. I have seen many photos of the Pass that decends down towards the Oasis,..... but never grow tired of seeing it again.

BTW,.... that pool was oh just soooo perfect!!! :thumleft:

I like the idea that Gerrit has put up these new tent shelter. Cool idea :thumleft:

One thing I really love about his place is that everytime I have passed the Oasis, stayed over for the night or just popped in for a quick pit-stop..... there are always plenty of sheep hanging about around the tents, main house & pool area.

Just adds a sence of calmness to your stay there. :thumleft: :thumleft:

Tuesday morning we all had a quick cup of coffee & some toast, settled our bill, packed our bikes & got saddled to depart in the dirrection of Wuppertal. We knew it was going to be hot.... so we wanted to try get an early start.

A little way up the road, we all stopped & gave Buff an opertunity to head on to scout for a few nice spots to film some cool footage on his GoPro.

Everyone waiting, eager to get going. Thanks Brett for putting your poor GoPro's life on the line. in order to get the shots >:D >:D ;D I swear my tyres must've came within mm's of that camera. Looking forward to seeing that footage. :thumleft:

With all of us passing by Buff's "Stratigically Placed" GoPro,.... Doug & I often stopped a little further ahead to wait for Buff to get his "evidence device" >:D :lol8: & then pass us again to get set up @ his next little "Hide-away"

Just a few shots of the beutiful sceneray that were blessed with along the way, while we waited for Buff to pass us.

Onwards we continued till we got to the Waterfalls, just outside Esselbank. IMHO....another spot you just have to stop @ when traveling through/past this area. We followed the narrow road to the informal paring area & I imediately took a walk down to the nearest pool of water & did my "noon-day-prayer head dunk" into the very "fresh & cold" river water.

Buff volentered to stand gaurd by the bikes, while the rest of us made our way down to check out the actual falls area. Here are a few photos I took.

This rock pool really is a cool spot. Love the way the water from upstream, pops out all over through these holes in the slipery rocks above the pool.

We then headed off back up to our bikes where RR thought it a good idea to top up on some "Go-Go Juice" for the thirsty Husky (it was FRIKKING hot up there, just BTW) ;D

This is a super RR!

Thanks  for taking all the time to post and share this

Now I just want to jump on my bike and go there!  ;D

On the way through to Wupertal I could not resist stopping @ the top of the pass to take in the Awesome view. Jusat around the next corner.... Buff had the same idea to take a few photos.

Then we took the decent all the way down into Wuppertal where we found DougC, Murdock, RR & Mambat enjoying something cold under the tree outside the shop.

I have almost 42GB worht of video footage I shot with the helmet cam & will not be able t oget around to that any time soon,... but will take a few screen shots from there & post a few more photos of the really Cool decent down the pass into Wuppertal.

Will be back again later on with some more photos...... ;)

Thanks Buddy for that. :thumleft: That truly is a wonderful place. :thumleft: :thumleft:

OK then....here are a few screenshots I mannaged to get from some of the video footage I shot..... of the decent down the pass into Wuppertal. I have to say, that the road is pretty "rutted & washed" in quite a few places.

First few of me nearing the summit, then of me getting ready to get a shot of Buff heading over.

There are quite a few of these concrete sections on the way down,.....sure they will come in very handy when going back up this pass. Would definately help with traction.

Some of the other sections are as I mentioned pretty "rutted & washed" & a little technical @ times,.... but definateley do-able :ricky: :thumleft:
