Bethelsklip is an interesting place. Churchy in the front and an archaeological site at the back. People who lived in the  high country around Lieliefontein used to come down here in the coldest part of winter to help their stock survive.

Great pics of an amazing trip!

Looks like it was a fun trip with enough challenges. How did the AT's behave?

Jaakmh,  one the awesome things about the AT is that it is comfortable on long stretches and and just at home in technical situations. So for a trip like this the AT is the perfect bike.  My AT used on average 2liters per tank refill less than the 950SE that was also on the trip.
The cherry on the cake is the way that the AT handles sand, super stable, what a pleasure.

Day 4 Lutszville to Garies
We were super exited about this day, the route promised a great 2spoor track over Gifberg. The were lots of sections over private ground and we were also looking forward to see the "Hole in the rock waterfall" at Gifberg guestfarm.
Take note, the restuarant  at the Lutzville hotel is very highly recommended.

Lots of Quiver trees just northwest of Nieuwoudsville not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of gates we had to open. Late that afternoon at around 20km before Garies we saw that our track was gonna take us on a 2spoor on private ground. Twister went to the farmer and asked for permission (like he has done several times on this trip) and the farmer was extremely friendly and showed us the way thru his farm.

Day 6 Springbok to Kleinsee and back to Springbok
This was our last day on the bikes.
Great gravel road to Kleinsee where we had a small breakfast, then a quick visit to the beach and then back to Springbok via Kommagas.
At Kommagas we turned onto a 2spoor track back over the mountain to Buffelsrivier. This little track was the cherry on the cake of the trip because it had a very steep downhill section just before Buffelsrivier.
