Voel maar baie selfde as verlede keer, maar gaan nie weer xstrale neem ens nie. Elk geval nie veel wat mens kan doen nie.
Sterkte met die herstel

Mark said we'd be taking an easy route to the low lying areas of Swaziland due the the rain. I was stupid enough to believe him.... again. :peepwall:

Daars nie pille vir domgeid nie. Net vir pyn..........................................

Lekker tough trip again in beautiful Swaziland  :thumleft: Watch that rib cage NK  ;)

After breakfast we head out in a light drizzle. I gingerly got on my bike, thankful that Mark was caring enough to take us on an easier route. I had taken pain meds which would surely kick in soon. 50m from the lodge we got onto a rutted tweespoor track going further up the mountain. Sucker…….

I dropped my bike within 100m of getting onto dirt. In a reflex attempt to keep it upright I put too much strain on my upper body and pain shot through my chest. I seriously contemplated turning back to tar, but the rest of the group disappeared around the bend and off I went trying to catch up.

Arrived at the top to find the rest of the guys waiting for me. Not a happy chappy……

Up ahead things didn’t get any easier. Even the slightest incline left the bikes going backwards on slippery mud and rocks.

And then we encountered the original Heartbreak Hill. Locals were slipping and sliding coming down the road in gumboots. It took as more than an hour to clear the next 400 meters.

I was knackered just walking up and down taking pics and video. The guys wrestling the bikes up the climb were taking a beating!
