Awesome guys. Looks like you had yourselves a great weekend. Think you need to start posting in the "Planning a ride" thread, this sort of ride should not happen without me knowing ;)

I started the weekend's ride with the comment:  Rain, pfft, what rain?!
While hoping not to eat my words later.  ???
But in the end it turned out 2 days of awesome riding!
The rain meant no dust and plenty of laughs with everybody taking a tumble.  :ricky:

To summarise the day 1  trip with some stats from the GPS -

Day 1 – PE Back roads & Rus en Vrede Eco Trail:

Left Mikes Place in PE -  7:30am
Arrived Kareedouw – 12:00am
Arrived in Doornkloof Bushkamp – 5:15pm

Total Dist – 276km
PE to Kareedouw via backroads – +-195km
Kareedouw to Doornkloof bushkamp (via Rus En Vrede eco trail) – 81km

Sea level to a Max height above sea level of +-1100m

Thanks once again all for an awesome weekend !  ;D

I realy did not think handle bars can make such a huge difference! It feels so controlled.
