O! Ja!  Ek het nogal gewonder of jy sou kroek...... ;D

Interresant, Eric was gatvol dat die Yardbirds se musiek te commercial raak, en waarsku hulle met sy vertrek:  "You will fall like a lead Zeppelin".  Vandaar Led Zep! Knock Knock Knocking....

Thanks for sharing guys. 8) Bonniedale was my first trip on my bike, did it last year March. Luckily it was not as wet then! ;D

I second the nomination for a Cape WD bash! or is that third or fourth already ??? ::)

Very nice trip :). Glad you all made it back safely.

Have bookmarked Attakwas for future reference...

Thanks to all who made the Attakwaskloof trip and especially to all you made it possible. I hope to have an opportunity to ride with all of you again.

Just to put the record straight, (we know that Kevin canâ??t ride but) it was me â??Gavinâ? who come off the GSA. I would just like to thank all of you who helped and supported me. Uiltjie thanks for all you did for me.

I know that I have not introduced myself to this forum as yet so here goes:
I called myself BMWCTD. This stands for BMW Crash Test Dummy. I have done things with this bike that even surprised the manufacturers and insurers it is so bad that they do not want me to participate in the BM challenge. I have fallen so many times that BM is using my medical records and insurants forms to inherence rider safety and bike durability. Garmen have refused to use my Tracking records.

Anyway thanks to all of you who made me feel so welcome.

>:D ;D

Gavin, I thought I was the only one getting your name wrong, seems I was the only one getting it right!

It was a great pleasure helping you!  I only did what everyone would have done, and I am sure you would have done the same for me.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Crash Test Dummy!  I rode many miles behind you, there's nothing wrong with your style or ability.  Technology let you down this time, they will sort that ABS out for you.

I will ride with you any day again, it was also a previledge meeting you.

Hope we see each other again soon!

The cool thing about his bike (having a kick starter) was that even that morning he 'skopped' it twice and it was purring...

He's got this routine of starting that beast - if I can remember it goes something like:
1 - step on the kick starter 'till it gives you resistance
2 - pull in the decompression lever and push the 'starter down one 'notch'
3 - Let go of the decompression lever and give it a solid (followed through) kick.
4 - Feel it purrs under you...
5 - drive off with either the back snaking or the front coming up, grinning widely inside your helmet...

It works every time.

Topbox, do I have it right  ? Am I ready for a XR myself ?

W

Terloops Surf - laat kom daai fotos man !

Daai 750i is glad nie sleg vir 'n 'inride' kamera nie...
