Alwyn,

I enjoy your trip, it takes me away from the planet and into the place we all feel so good about.
What a job with the RR … thanks for the time and effort you take to bring us your trip into the living room.
The Info you bring to the table is stunning, I was not able to be educated in African History back in Europe, Afrikaans or English I learned a lot ….

Keep up the spirit and your hobby … Riding Bikes is a lifestyle and no joke at all ….
Every RR you do is a trip for me ….. and always bring back good memories from the past ...

Ek is 'n lui leser  :peepwall:

Hierdie was 'n goeie balans  ;)

Missed your report initially and was stung into reading it after John's very valid comment on the thread about RR's falling by the wayside.
Your Report is of very high quality, thoroughly researched and presented - well done  :thumleft:

Ek kyk ook die kiekies maar gaan ook na Google Maps om te sien waar die plekke is.

Veral as ek nie die area ken nie.

Dit is vier dae van harde kilos, veral vir die pillions.

Ek sal beslis in die toekoms hierdie RR moet raadpleeg vir roetes  :thumleft:

Dankie [member=6303]Lem[/member].

My other mate was also on your ride - Graeme, big grey beard - he sent us pics while you were away - I see he managed to evade the camera mostly successful....

[member=10050]ClimbingTurtle[/member] , yes mr Cartwright, not the first longer trip we did together... I enjoy his company, and obviously with a trip like this, the talks tend to go political and I personally enjoyed his views...

Some of the pictures are of his or his wife Rihanle

Michelle's bikes chain came off at a stage, on the way to Ladysmith, and he and his wife turned back after our lights weren't in their mirrors no more. I said we are fine just going to adjust the chain quickly, they can continue on so long.
He insisted to wait with us! I told him " I'm not scared..." and his reply " that is what deadmen useally reply..." we had a chuckle and quickly went on our way with a guardian angle watching our rear...
