What a fun day that was. Thanks to GG for putting this together and to the great bunch of people that turned up.

Was good to see such a variety of bikes and people all having fun. Way to go WD's!!  ;D

At the regroup point where everyone was impressed by the turnout. A quick stop at the train graveyard brought back memories. I'm sure I hear a train.....

The first and for many the last view of the train speeding past. The mud monster put in an appearance to keep things interesting. Going...going...gone... TG having fun feeding the monster.

One final splash before Magalies, just to make sure everyone was still awake.

Thanks All  :thumleft:

And the nominations for the prize for the best recoveries of the day are . . .  tada . . .

ADVENTURER - for his recovery in the standing position in water (second last puddle) on the 990
EVENTUALLY - for his spectacular 90 degree slide with impressive rooster-tail in the sloshy stuff.

And a late nomination . . .

GUNDAGUNDA -  for offering to ride Misty's bike around the second last puddle, and nearly wiping out a peach tree, Misty and a GS.

Roek, have you given away your bike yet!

Temptation is a nasty evil, one which I fight every day in many shapes and forms.
And this fight will be fought for some time to come.

So no, my trusty steed will be staying with me for the foreseeable future.  And in the meantime, I will dream about the next chapter.  Will ze Germans engineer a precision take-over, or will the Dark Side make its appearance?...

Gunda, thanks for organizing a very enjoyable ride.  The wife enjoyed every second on the back and we had a great day out.  To all the girls, thanks for making my wife feel right at home.

Once again it was nice to see some old faces and to meet some new ones.

Thanks Gunda Gunda

What a novel idea, I hope you arrange this ride again quickly.

Attached my picks:

1. My bike at Regroup.
2. Regroup
3. Regroup

Looks a great days riding sorry I missed it, but ja next time.

And well done Misty you have conquered everything from sand to mud now!!

Thanks Gunda for an awesome day...  :thumleft:

The boys also asked me to convey there thanx... they had a great day...

Hi all.
Thanks so much for the ride, i even enjoyed my dip in the mud! Always nice to eat a little humble pie!
What really caused me to hesitate in the first mud section was watching the guy on the ktm 640, man what a save!
First he went straight, then left, then sharp right, then sharper right followed by a near high-side into the veldt.
Aaaah, the wild dog rides, always entertaining.

Thanks to GundaGunda for organising such a great ride and to everyone who went with and provided such excellent company.

This was the virgin Run for my XChallenge and I think it was an excellent outing for that purpose. The few guys up front had a few exciting moments of their own, like me sliding out in the mud and nearly mounting the train running next to us while still on the bike..... Luckily I managed to get control of the bike before it became too serious. The worst harm done was that everyone around me was now splattered with mud from my back wheel  8) Sorry guys.....  ;D

Signs of a good ride...and mud bath
