well in that case I'd say a ride would have to be the order of that day then
Cool. Are you organising?

Pick a date  ;D

Trip Dates : 15 Feb, 29 March, 27 April, 10 May, 21 June, 9 Aug, 24 Sept, 25 Oct, 1 Nov, 28 Nov, 29 Nov, 6 and 16 Dec
Hmm. Let me check my diary...
I'm back for just about the whole of August..
9 August? Gonna be a nice wintery cold day. Hope there are no puddles to fall in then.

learned from Malibu that F800s float on water.

TG if I had been there it looks like I would have been keeping you company  :D sorry I could not make it. GG once again looks like you arranged a really great ride - SORRY I missed it

Hello all followers of the Exulted Mud Ninja  >:D

This is a public service announcement. The great honourable Mud Ninja would like to officially declare the "Chasing the train to Magaliesburg" an super-riffic event, and would like to send highest regards to the great GG and many thanks for taking the time to prepare the way of the Mud-Ninja with thorns, potholes, mudpuddles, squattercamp inhabitants, etc. (Please note that chocolates and rose petals do tend to the job a little better, but I am not picky.)

That's enough of that.... This Mud Ninja thing may go to someones head  ;D. Thanks to Gundsie for an awesome day. I haven't had that much fun since baking mudcakes as a child.... and this time my mother wasn't around to complain about how dirty I managed to get.  :peepwall: Thanks to all the guys who helped pick up my bike, dust me down (in a manner of speaking - no one had the  guts to try and get all that mud off of me ;)), straighten my brake lever and walk me through the swimming pool - that would be the second last mud puddle.

Eventually - the guys at the Magalies Hotel can be glad that Silver had the forsight to remove their lovely cushion before I parked my muddy butt on it.  :thumleft: Oh and Silver my title is Ninja... not Monster - do I look like Charlize Theron to you?!? ... Okay thinking about it now, maybe you shouldn't answer that, I will definately feel offended.  :imaposer:

Chorse... I would like to thank you for ruining my reputation (I am being sarcy here ). In all the time I have been riding no-one has ever been able to take a picture of me falling, or even of me near the bike once I had fallen. And what do you do - you little overachiever - you catch a full on action shot. Nice one... there goes my whole rep.  :ricky:

And Gunda about that peach tree, we already have a "Peaches" .. if you want a new handle maybe try another fruit?  :laughing4:

Cave Girl ... it been a while since we chatted, I promise on the next ride I will share all the mud puddles with you.  :pot: Looking forward to it.

Now who do I bribe about removing that rather unflattering photo of my size 6 A$$?  >:D

And who do I have to counterbribe to have that picture put on the revolving header pics!  >:D

Just joking, was glad to see you on a ride again TG.

Bribe accepted - done !

My late father, on his death bed said, "Son, if you want to live a long and happy life like I did, you must do what women want."

Sure Dad. Problem is I don't know what they want  ::)

And I was getting angry with the peach trees - all these passengers skoffing peaches and spitting the pips out the window to sprout into big trees and give me a hard time.

And a compliment for JustBiking is due.

I think that pic you tagged

Gunda, Adventurer and Misty approaching a crossing...

Is one of the nicest riding shots I have seen in a while. It has great feeling and composition, and to me really captures the enjoyment I get from riding.

Three mates, out in the open air, trundling along a nice gravel road - what can be nicer?

Great day thanks a tonne.

I agree with the thoughts. Send the slower pack off in front to try and get there before the train. The fast group then leave at the same time as the train but rather start at the second meeting point.

A great day and wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I had to leave unfortunately early as I had a sh*t load of paperwork to do. I decided to back track to Krugersdorp. It was a lonely ride without the pack but it was that or the tar and quite frankly thats why I sold the road bikes. I had a little mud monster come up and stop the front wheel, throw the back wheel past the front and after lifting myself out of the mud, noticed I was facing Magallies again. Ego dented, speed now reduced, one mirror broken off and the other one adjusted to a slim line. Camo now not a snow version but more the African landscape type
