Nou sien ek dit dubbel, maar kan nog nie die voriges sien nie. Die spanning en afwagting hoop op.

i can ONLY see pics in post #9 - none of the others....

Maybe change to PostImages to host them - it's the easiest imo.....

Anyways, Spiekman made it to Kroonstad and helped Sidpitt to load two R1200GSes on the back of their trailer and clapped it to Bloem where they would meet up with Brent.

Now this trailer has a rich history as far as "Dads & Lads" go, including a proper breakdown and repair in Lesotho.

Arriving in Bloem (yes, they made it), you can see some "organized chaos" commencing...

Brent just wanted to check that he fits in his sleeping bag!

AAAAnd, so at last on Saturday 15th (Day 0/1/??) team South also eventually started on a very cold morning ....

Halfway to  Malmesbury I had to stop to put on my rain jacket, it was freezing ...

As I said, our plan for day 1 was to breakfast at Ceres, snack at Tankwa padstal, them up Oubergpas, Sutherland, Fraserburg and on to Carnavon .....

Here we popped over the Berg river at Zonkwasdrift ...

And so, just after this stop, I started to feel the rear end of my bike weave around the road.

We stopped, checked and although it was flat, had many small cut marks, could not find the leaking hole.
Pumped up the wheel to 2 bars, and climbed out the Ouberg pass ....

No matter how many times I stop here, this stay a spectacular view !!!  :3some:

We continued on to Sutherland where we filled with fuel and I put some more air into the rear tyre.

Now we could feel and see the leak, which I then plugged.

It was about 14h00-14h30 when we left Sutherland for Fraserburg and we thought that we would reach Carnavon by 17h00
