Right... my first ride report... and to be honest my first real activity on the forum since my introduction, so I will try and be short, to the point and entertaining, so let's kick it!
One more point worth mentioning, before June last year I have never driven a motorcycle before, so EVERYTHING was pretty much a new experience for me
Rain, wind, gravel, mud, rocks, long distances etc. etc. So for those who remember when they started, this will bring back memories, for those who were born experienced, you may laugh a little if you want to hehe

The vicious hurricane that we drove through until we hit Villiers was not nearly as bad as the wind that later on almost flipped by scoot out from underneath me... As I was struggling for my life, holding on with all my might, waiting for the wind and rain to finally blow me off the road into a ravine where I will plummit to my death, I though I’d better check if the other guys are still alive, we must have lost at least one or two members by now... So there was Dwerg, looking bored, stretching his legs on his crash bars, Batch was standing looking around at the scenery, Tariq looked as if he was watching a movie on his couch and g’Varlik also did not seem phased by these life threatening weather conditions... That's when I realized I am in for on hell of trip, a trip that will change me... The little bit of dirt we did on day one, was awesome, but it also emphasized the fact that I was out of my league amongst these skilled and experienced riders.
When I finally forced myself to relax, I started to enjoy the scenery, the roads, the bends, the way we seem to operate as a team, warning each other of dangers ahead, the way I lent my bike through corners, the acceleration out of it and the way all of this made me feel.
When we finally reached Zastron and had our first beer, I was dead tired but hellishly excited! Optimistic about day 2, if I only knew... Day two will be the day that will forever haunt and inspire me!
