Because of his red face in the heat, Byron was affectionately known as the Traffic Cone after this. His bike also spewed petrol in his face and all over his body when he opened petrol cap to release pressure. It really wasn’t his best day.....

We made our way back to civilisation and stopped at a roadside bar for some grub and something to drink.

Back at the lodge, we couldn’t get in the pool quick enough

Late afternoon thunderstorm and most of the guys had a quick nap.

Our hosts, Maria and Darryl together with their staff cooked up a storm for supper.

Sunday morning after breakfast, we lined up for a pic in front of the lodge, said our goodbyes to our hosts and started making our way back home.

Colon was having an off day and toppled over 4 or 5 time during roughly an hour of riding. Shortly after this pic he had two more topples  and a severe case of hissy fit

Colon throwing a tantrum and telling me where to stick my camera in no uncertain terms. [emoji35]

And just like that our trip was over......

We had a fizzy drink in Hazyview and the jumped on tar to get back home.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to ride with these guys and I’ve learnt so much about riding a bike in this terrain from all of them.

I drifted into Japies roost zone on day one and my Gopro came of second best..... not much video material to upload to Youtube, but I’m sure Eugene will put together some of his footage.
