Into Africa - DASKOP's 12000km drive

Some Years ago in the late 90ties, I parked my "Rolling Home" in Hobas.
the first night we spent out there, coming up from Ais Ais, was so Dramatic, it made me stay for 25 nights to come.
I managed to do a Moon Rising & Passing Study with some 2400 pictures.
The Sounds coming out from Space ...... in hobas you can hear them !!

Day 5 Hobas to Canon Roadhouse

Lekker gravel road. Enjoyable jaunt.  :ricky: :ricky:

Canon Rocks is an interesting place.  

Murphy still seems to have residual damage from the border episode where his beloved yellow 2 wheeled baby had ANOTHER 2 wheels added to make it a CAGE!!!!!!!!!!!  

THEN HE DECIDES TO PAW AN INNOCENT 4X4 CAGE.  :lol8:

Just a few photos taken at Canon Roadhouse. Not the best quality, but will bring back some memories.

Saw an old Jules sticker..............something we should know about Jules????????  :biggrin:

Murphy left a new one, with permission, nogal. I think that takes the fun out of it for him.  ot:

We had some nourishment and then there was some gravel in our future.

Still Day 5 - Fish River Canyon.

As we are leaving the viewpoint, we see the unfenced vantage area to the right and go that way because we can.  :ricky:

Once there, this young lady is standing right on the edge. Party mense se kinners het geen breins nie!!!!!!  :eek7:

Murphy sommer takes a few steps back and starts running to the edge. Base jumping without a parachute is not for the fainthearted.  

It's back on the gravel and I ask Murphy to stop when we get to the one tree we saw off to the left, so that we can take an AWESOME picture. He agrees, we hit the road and he forgets about the tree and stops just short of Rundu............................

We left Canon Roadhouse, enjoying the gravel abundance. Then Murphy remembers the tree that I spoke about and he finds an even better one. Guilty conscience methinks.  :3some:  Thanks Murph. Was worth the wait.  :thumleft:
