The route into is affectionately named Joe’s Mountain after Joe Holmes who introduced us to this little known route a couple of years ago.

The first “challenge” is riding over granite a outcrop to get to the start of the climb into the mountain. Because of all the rain, the usual line was wet and covered in moss. We could hardly walk on the surface of the rock.

Tobie, being an ex enduro racer soon found us a way around / over

I had no option other than to follow.....

A very intimidating sight on a big bike...... the GoPro makes it look so flat!

At this point I ran out of space on my sd card  and had to stick to iPhone pics until all the videos downloaded.
