Joe’s Mountain before we head back to work

I was leading the way which meant I was pointing out the slippiest line.....[emoji48]

The route into is affectionately named Joe’s Mountain after Joe Holmes who introduced us to this little known route a couple of years ago.

The first “challenge” is riding over granite a outcrop to get to the start of the climb into the mountain. Because of all the rain, the usual line was wet and covered in moss. We could hardly walk on the surface of the rock.

I had no option other than to follow.....

A very intimidating sight on a big bike...... the GoPro makes it look so flat!

On the right hand edge of the photo the moss covered original track can be seen

And then we were back on track.....

At this point I ran out of space on my sd card  and had to stick to iPhone pics until all the videos downloaded.

Tobie is fairly new to adv biking, back from a 9 year break from biking after breaking his neck
He was having a ball!

Joe’s Mountain is a in and out route and we picked up the pace heading back down
