Cheers RrP, glad you enjoyed it  :thumleft:

Huge kudos to you for trying this on your own. Turning around is exactly what you should do considering the terrain, remoteness and unpredictable weather. Awesome trip report as always. Makes me lus to ride!

Proper pic and report Xpat makes me want to go ride.

What a great read!!!  Thanks for sharing XPat!

Regarding the dakar bike...  Yes it is a real deal bike.  Wessel Bosman is on his way to dakar.  Wessel is also co-founder of Afriski.  The picture of the bike at afriski is the bike where it all began where he rode up to Eqypt rode the Pharons race rode from there to Paris personally handing in his first entry.  Nice story from Wessel.

OK, thanks Jackol and armpump. I should have figured out it was Wessel as Martin in Afriski told me Wessel is busy building another bike.

I hope he has better luck this time in Dakar!

Well if he needs to jump hurdles along the way he should be ok :)

Thanks Martin for a very well written RR. I always enjoy your ride reports very much, just wish I was in more of them! The times we rode together was an absolute honour!

I always wait until RRs are finished before I read them. Almost forgot about this one! Great stuff  :thumleft:

Brilliant RR Xpat, thanks. Way beyond my skill levels at this stage but always nice to imagine doing something like this.

Hi Xpat. I really enjoy your ride reports. Have you considered starting a news letter on n mailing list? That way we can know when you start with ride reports  :lol8:

Anyway, thanks for sharing your ride reports  :thumleft:

Great report - just catching up now - thanks for the tracks and great read - Colour me green with envy. Five stars from me.

Thanks a lot for your report and the great photos. Those occasions of re-tracing your routes weren't failures in my books, essentially you're exploring ! Good luck with the nest attempts.
