I'll let Ryperd fill in the "official" details and info

When I walked outside early this morning, and was greeted by THIS:
Belfast101.jpg

I knew it was going to be a GOOD day   8)

Wyfie and myself got to the meeting point 5 (FIVE) minutes EARLY. Funacide - that means that WE WERE NOT LATE !!!! >:D

Our first stop for the day

Belfast103.jpg

Poppipants new ride - absolutely perfect condition - nice bike  :)

Belfast102.jpg

Our second stop - somewhere past Ogies and close to Witbank

Belfast104.jpg

It was here that Mrs Tonteldoos discovered that her bike was not "lekker".
Tonteldoos's first reaction that the gearbox was buggered (This bike has a bit of  a history)
Tonteldoos saw that the chain was loose and here he is, taking off the sprocket cover

Belfast105.jpg

A surprise awaited - the nut that holds the front sprocket on was missing. It was later established that the mechanic had forgotten to fit it. The bike had done about 600km since it was at the dealer

Enter AdventureMX  :) :) :)
He refitted the sprocket and then shaped a washer out of a coke can and wrapped some wire around the thread

Belfast106.jpg

Mixing some Quickset Steel - to form a nut

Belfast107.jpg

The finished product (as far as I know - the bike completed the whole ride)

Belfast108.jpg

Another stop (notice: mielieland is drawing nearer)

Belfast109.jpg

Funacide, Ryperd & Leo

Belfast110.jpg

Poppipants

Belfast111.jpg

Panne (all the way from Polokwane) (thats far !!!  ;D)

Belfast112.jpg

Wyfie, Wino & Ama Drink Drink  ;D

Belfast113.jpg

It may be prudent to mention at this stage that Garmin and Mapsource have 2 South African versions. One version is used by ALL users in RSA and the other is used ONLY by Riding Horse.

Enter the mielies (and a proper road according to Ryperd)

Belfast115.jpg

I was so caught up in the moment and as self designated and unofficial keeper of photographic record, I had a mishap  :-[ :-[ :-[

Belfast114.jpg

Back to the mielies - we got temporarily disorientated and circled a rather large mielie field - in THIS:

Belfast119.jpg

Belfast118.jpg

Wyfie did not trust me and since the sprocket stop - decided to hitch a ride on Ama Sand Sand's Sofa
(Poppipants in the mirror)

Belfast117.jpg

Belfast116.jpg

Eventually we arrived at our destination

Belfast120.jpg

AdventureMX was tired (he had a busy morning repairing one sprocket)

Belfast130.jpg

The WD's settling in

Belfast121.jpg

Ryperd and Panne transporting Pooh and annorexic Barney  ;D

Belfast122.jpg

Poppipants - hehehe  >:D (can I have the email address of ALL family, friends, colleagues etc etc.....)

Belfast123.jpg

Offloading the Honey lover and purple man  :)

Belfast124.jpg

Leo

Belfast125.jpg

Wyfie, AdventureMX, Ama Look Look, Leo & Wino

Belfast126.jpg

Leo, meet Leo  ;D ::)

Belfast127.jpg

Ryperd chased all the kids away

Belfast128.jpg

Wyfie & AMX

Belfast129.jpg

Ama Tough Tough  :p

Belfast131.jpg

Then, we did the unthinkable - offered to give the kids a ride (Beeeeg mistake)
I think we circumnavigated that field about 50 times each

Belfast132.jpg

Belfast133.jpg

Belfast134.jpg

After handing over our donations (I'll let the others fill in here)
Resting under the trees
Malgat, Wino, Leo

Belfast135.jpg

AMX also donated two golf shirts to two lucky Wilddogs - congrats Wino & Panne

That's all I have
Wyfie and I had a great day. What a privledge to be able to help those so less fortunate than ourselves.
Thanks Ryperd and the others - and also especially Wino for the DVD player

Nice one Plot, I love the sprocket nut invention! Dog makes a plan  ;D ;D

Good on you guys, the smiles tell all ( not only the kids faces )

Judging by the photies a lot of dusty fun was had.  Sorry I missed it but was still sorting out the jetlag this morning, got back last night, only woke up at 08:30.

Well. He is a father now. Should look respectable when you are a father.

Forgive me Wino. I'm PUI.

Good to see Plotwyfie on the dirt.  :thumright:

Respect to you people.  I am sad I could not join.

Plottie, as always nice report. Sounds like you guys had a great time.
Sorry I missed out. Especially the part where the KTM was taking a tiep on his right shoulder.
Seems like Wyfie is finally starting to show that she has more brains than loyalty. Riding Pillion on a decent bike.
Please tell her that I salute her!

Thanks for the report Plot  ;)

Fun was had by all, and lots o fit  ;D ;D

That mielie section was lekker practice. Few more of those and we can go visit Ponta  ;D ;D

Thanks to all WD's that attended. Have not ridden with some of you in years. Yea I know it's my fault!

Nice people. Well done.

I want to ride with the old school boys again, aint seen some of these peeps forever.

Nice one all ;) Riding with WD's is allways great. No matter what or where ;D

thanks to ryperd for organising the ride, it was really cool, every facet of it!
