It starts to drizzle again and gets quite chilly.
Road surface becomes super slippery and a local stops to warn us to be very careful on downhills as it’s easy to slide off the road in these conditions.

This is a cool little road we happened upon in the Protem area.

Daai paadjie het my nou erg nuuskierig, want dis not n damn nie Protem plantegroei nie? Noord van die Sonderendrivier dalk julle het knap anderkant Stormsvlei die teerpad geT dalk?

So gaan loer, ek vermoed dit was Sandy’s Glen

My GPS starts to act up and I make a wrong call. We have to backtrack several kms but eventually end up back on route. Lunch and coffee in De Rust before we continue

This is my edit for groenfontein, oudemuragie and kammanassie. We had mud and some rain for the majority of this section up to De Rust. Roads were super slippery

Quick refuel in Uniondale and then sarted making our way towards Uitspan in Baviaanskloof. Temps were dropping drastically and we stopped to put jackets on.

We have a very enjoyable night at the beautiful Uitspan with a few beers and a lekker braai. Lekker to meet @Difflock and @XRRX !
