I broke a bone in every limb and spent a year learning to walk again in almost exactly the same way!
Having a great time in the Drakensberg, after a nice lunch, enjoying the scenery, day dreaming a bit, came around a corner and was faced by another sharper corner straight afterwards, panic braked with a nice long skid followed by a high-side into the only sign pole in a 50k radius
I was also on a Dakar.
Quick nasty end to a great little trip.
Not something I ever want to do again, but it happens in an instant!

You are welcome to re post or pm it to me if you want. If it was constructive criticism I do not mind you posting it. I screwed up. I fell . I was lucky not to get more badly hurt. IF anyone else can learn from my mistakes then it is a good thing.
