Oh lecap is going to LOVE this!  :pot:

I'm a regular cheapskate KLR rider. I am also a typical souf afrikan and have a lekke boep, weighing in at about 100kg without kit.
Because of this my rear suspension has already suffered and I NEED to upgrade.

So, Step 1 is to get a stiffer spring. There are many available, so no issues.
Step 2 is to remove the shock and take it apart. https://calgarydualsport.tripod.com/klr650shock/procedure.html takes care of that.

No the big problem is that the damping needs to be changed to compliment the new spring. Does anyone know what my options are?
I would be happy to simply revalve. I don't know much about shims etc, but would like to learn. Is this possible?
I've also looked into getting a Gold Valve unit (https://www.racetech.com/HTML_FILES/GVWHYGV.html), but it's quite expensive and then I still don't know how to properly valve it.

My objectives are to do it as cheap as safely possible AND to learn more in doing so. I'm rather keen on attempting this myself.  :deal:
Thanks in advance guys!!  :thumleft:
