GHOST HOUSE “SPOOKHUIS “ SLEEPOVER
This RR is long overdue, but rather late than never.
A while back a “Spookhuis” sleepover on Bie’s father’s farm was planned. As usual the PE dogs, with the help of Bie, got the ball rolling and a date was set. To top the event a “skaapkop” was also thrown into the mix, and that is where I got very interested and decided to join the fun.
The route
The wife and I left the Saturday morning early in a crisp winter breeze. We had a good 350 kilo’s to cover to our destination.
The 1st gravel after a 70km stretch of that horrible black stuff.
Some picas on route
Then we got to this little town named after one of our wild dog members, Drazville. (Spelling)
JMOL, these windpompe picas are especially for you my friend, sorry you could not make the trip with us.
Then it was time for Zuurberg pass. This pass is nothing technical, but the road is just plain horrible. It is now the 3rd time that I did the pass, and I doubt it if I will do it again in the near future.
With Zuurberg behind us and a broken topbox bracket, it was off to Kirkwood and then Glenconner, the turnoff to the venue.
Glenconner
On route to the Spookhuis.
