I have soft luggage available if you like......

Baie nice sakke daai.

Hulle maak my bietjie bang though...

New handlebar fitted

Ok so here is the final setup of the screen after new handlebar and raisers fitted. The handguards also fit better now.

The instrument cluster is a little hidden but tbh it only shows speed and distance. 4 lights on/off for the rest. No fuel indicator.

Ye or nay?

Looks good.
How did the bike feel after you lifted the front suspension back to standard ? Was there a significant overall height change for the bike?

Yeah I could feel a difference. The rear is still set to the lower setting.

Taking it out this afternoon around town to get a feel for it all

So the Tornado is still fairly new to the shed. Since selling my previous bikes (as I thought I was hanging up my gloves for a while...kids and what not) I also sold most of my stuff.

Looking at the numerous videos on the Ben 10 it seems the roads are a bit dodgy (luckily not "the most difficult pass in South Africa" yet) and the chances of putting the Brazilian down somewhere are fairly good.

So the checklist for the Brazilian would be...
- handguards done
- aftermarket handlebars (apparently the OEM one is a noodles). done
- A little bit of wind protection if possible. done
- gps (in progress)  Bought a Garmin Etrex 20x - lets hope it does the job.
- luggage bags
- tools - So far I have a set of tire irons (the flying brick bead-breaker ones) and a diy crutchy.

and one of the things that is overdue...
- tire changing exercises.      :peepwall: still eyeing my calendar

Updated list - learn how the Garmin etrex 20x works and how to plot a route on it.

....and he can do it  So I have high hopes!!

So I have been really contemplating whether this "mini fairing" is going to work for me on the bike ... I just can't come to grips with it. It looks awesome, but personally for me it kills the simplicity of the bike (the main reason for buying the bike in the first place).

I'm gonna take the bike out for a ride this weekend without it and see how I feel thereafter.

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in buying it maybe you are welcome to send me a PM.

Ekself het ook gewonder hoekom n screen op n klein bike. Miskien is die wind buffeting op 110 km/h meer as wat ek kan onthou

Making sure my thread does not disappear in 'the great return' of forum normalizing.
Plans are still in place for September.

Luggage has now been sorted.
Decided on @P.K. 's bags. Just can't beat those prices and simplicity. Thx Pete.

Starting to get the hang of the etrex20x. Nifty little GPS. Taking it out for a spin to Clarens/Bethlehem later this month if the rain permits it.
