Ok, here we go...

Photo was taken late one night after a long day of riding. But we will get to that soon

EDIT: Better looking pic found ;)

Thursday 8 September - Bloemfontein, Ladybrand, Maseru, Roma, Semonkong.

Thursday morning arrived. Some of the guys came through to Bloemfontein on the Wednesday night. Plan was to trailer our bikes to Ladybrand and then meet the rest of the guys there.

The Brazilian is being loaded 💪

While the bikes were being loaded an alternative plan was hatched. The original plan was to load the Brazilian on the rear of the bakkie. We decided it would be much easier if one of the bikes was ridden to Ladybrand. then the other three bikes can be loaded on the trailer and the gear can be placed on the bakkie.

One of the 990s were taken off and the Brazilian took its place.

And guess who was nominated to ride the 990R to Ladybrand....:devilish:

ME!!! (just incase you didn't get the hint ;))

The road to Ladybrand was uneventful.

I haven't ridden a big bike in a while and with it being someone else's bike too I took it easy on the 990

Here and there I tested it a bit
not bad... for a KTM

Everyone got to Ladybrand in one piece, including the guys that were traveling from Frankfort, Vanderbijlpark and Petrussteyn.

At Ladybrand we were received by the guys where the trailer and bakkies would be left for the duration of the trip.

I met two nice gentlemen, Charan Moore the Lesotho Roof of Africa organiser and other guy Altus de Wet, apparently one of SA's top riders. Charan Moore recently finished the Malle Motto category of the Dakar 💪
