'Like' isn't a word you can use with reference to a Tiger ~ that's almost an insult, to say you 'like' it!  :mwink:

who are the dealers in CT?  now I have to go ride one  :laughing4:
Mike Hopkins.Last time I popped in there they had no demo.I rode the pre ABS version, and loved it.But then there was a delay with stock, and my slight negative ideas on first edition models, and about buying a brand new bike, and then I went and bought a first edition Super Tenere.
I think the Tiger XC will be my next bike though.......

FFS, I hate that. A mate of mine wanted a Sportage, went in to buy one, got kuk service, no models, waiting list.. walked out and bought an Audi.. simple. If they had the Tiger XC you may or may not have gone for the Tenere.. IMO the Tenere is a stand up bike and for sure is on my short list with the 1200GS and the Tiger as my next bike.

Wife and I went to a MC dealer to buy a Blackbird 1100XX, after riding the "Bird", were convinced to test the Triumph 1050ST, after much protest that I do not like/trust Brit bikes, we took it for a ride. We were there to buy a 2nd hand bike, within 2 corners of the test ride Des say's "this is the one" and I must say I was blown away buy the 1050ST. I have since 2006 been the proud owner of a Sprint 1050 ST, and both Des and I have enjoyed many miles of absolute riding comfort & pleasure.

We are looking to buy a Tiger800XC, to add to the stable, I have tested it, but without the wife at this point...........Like its ST sibbling, an awesome bike. :thumleft:

Being a Yamaha fan most of my life, I must admit that there is not much comparison for me, when you ride a triple.................there is soul.

Nice Feedback guys, glad to see it is also feedback from biker with other brands!

The bike does give you that warm fuzzy feeling, Now i just got to learn to ride her in the sand :)

Off to Countrytrax next month then.................. :mwink:

Can you guys with Tigers give some indication as to what the bike is like to service etc.. some brands just seem a lot more expensive to run than others with part prices etc. Also what is the bike like to work on. It looks quite nice and open, no big plastics to remove to get to the bits.

Hi All,

I finally found a decent ride report of the Tiger that some chaps had 2 days to what it looks like break this bike, well worth a watch :
