Reporting back for those that enquired: Werner's back still hurts - his wearing a back-brace and is still on painkillers, but it seems it will be fine!  :thumleft:
As for the 1200: seems it will be laid to rest ....  :'(
As for me: 2 x new tubes and 1 x new rear tyre - my 1500k old Anakee Wild is a bit damaged/ cuts&bruses ...:
My Samsung smartphone is also in poor shape! 
Oh and my new Reebok "plakkies"  didn't make the end of the 1st night, and Dawie's riding boots is going the same way as the 1200 ...  :
... and a few other broken/damaged odds and ends ...
Who said adventure is cheap ...  :biggrin:

Just want to echo what everyone else is saying - What a fantastic RR! Thanks for sharing!

Definitely makes me wanna jump on my bike and make some of my own memories and that taste of adventure.

Our friend Werner looked-up professional help - at last !!! 
Well I'm not at all clued up with medical terms, but to me it sounds that painkillers may not always be a good answer ...  atch:
Neither is it always good to be brave and ride your bike (or what's left of it) home after an accident, when you do have a choice ...  :deal:
Sadly it appears that it will take quite a while before the 3 of us do a trip together again, and the poor 1200 will definelately not be part of that ...
