Eh, it isn't what it was, but I'm managing, thanks for asking. Might have a word with the doc when I get back though....

I won't bore every one too much with this, but our ride today from the Argentinian/Bolivian border was something else. Tajikistan maybe? Really nice gravel through the Cordillera de Sama Reserve, epic scenery! Only did 160 miles, utterly knackered at the end of it.

Ha ha, gotta love a GPS. Mine decided to take me on a gravel road that you could easily mistake for the really gnarly sections of the Sani. Some ******** in a 4x4 decided to stop right on my line and poof, down we went. Snapped a pillion footrest holder but managed to keep going, hoping to find a fix in the lovely city of Sucre today.

Ho yus, just follow the squiggly line. Must say, MOTOZ GPS tyres did very well.

Over the bridge and up the hill Haven't seen any other adventure bikes along the way, all at the Uyuni salt flats I guess, but this corner of Bolivia is gorgeous

And a bit scary. We took a break and could see the bridge and said to each other "surely not..." But it was.

Correction.....the bracket.

Yeah, the footpeg is fine (SA made, got them from Flying Brick, Mrs 3D loves them) but the bracket? Well I took it to a guy with a good reputation yesterday who reckoned it could be repaired, and we also discussed fabricating something in steel. It has to be strong cos Mrs 3D gets on the bike like you get on a horse, so she needs to put all her weight on the peg while she swings her leg over.

Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Can't win really, I had stainless brackets which came with the Zega racks, but after crunching my ankle twice in Namibia I was convinced that their position was to blame (they were lower than standard). More likely the fault lay with me, shouldn't keep falling off....

Another quickie - 430km semi round trip "guilt free Friday's" - First pic, just after 8am after departing Klapmuts, backroads to windmill close to Paarl, this particular corner has a Ducatti against fence moment which I always smile about.

Next pic top of Bains kloof with lovely re-covered tar road, joy to ride.

Next three pics after slanghoek just before Ceres, nice roadstall we always stop with great coffee. Inspiration in the loo.

Some Cederberge pics just before I made a 180 turn to get away from impending rain, wasnt in the mood.

Went back and just before Gydo pass did that Witzenberg road I have never done, one way in out same road into the valley and found another gem of a coffee shop before heading back to Stellies getting home just after 15h00.

Had to go take photos and measurements of this screen for a friend today between Riversdale and Heidelberg. Eish the roads are gnarly it being harvest season. Tyreshops must be making a killing with truck tyres and tubes.

Gysmanshoekpas oor die Kanetberg.
Baie los klip op die steil opdraend aan Noordekant, dit hou jou besig!
Hier is dit nogal steil af, al lyk dit op die foto nie so steil nie.
Verderaan goeie tweespoor

Oral bosse in blom langs Gysmanshoek pas. Die proteas is ongelukkig nognie mooi in blom nie.

Besonder lekker en mooi tweespoor langs Swartberge, naby/deur Wildehondkloof wildpark en Swartberg wildpark

Swartberge is altyd indrukwekkend. Hierdie foto is naby Kruisrivier, op die grondpad na Calitzdorp

Oral mooi blomme aan die bosse en bome.

Die Huisrivierpas is altyd lekker om te ry en te bewonder.
