As my daughter said the other day: " In the old days in the 1990's, what did you do?"  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

EDIT - It's ironic that when nature was unscathed the pictures quality was so 'poor'

Great! Absolutely great!  :thumleft:  :thumleft:  :thumleft:

1995 seems like yesterday.... :(

Dankie Rokie.

Lekker gelees Rokie  :thumleft:

Iewers in my garage sal ek nog so n DR 600 aanskaf. Hulle het nogal presence.

Wow! Hierdie 'Ride Reports' afdeling verbaas my altyd. Dankie vir al die lekker terugvoer  :thumleft:

1995 feels like yesterday, but a bit of reflection makes one realise that things change a fair bit. I don't think it's about whether it was better back then - it was just different. And for some reason we can get quite a kick out of it when something takes us back there. Our memory seems to be specifically triggered to the point of familiarity with that which is long lost - and then we hold it dear. Perhaps more so than before.

Bliksem, het iemand vir my n tissue?  :lol8:

Dit was great onpretensieuse tye!!! :ricky:

What a lekker rr.  Man, just keep the ride simple and fun with the basics and look what you get. Thanks Rokie

lekker man! baie dankie vir die deel  :ricky:

We are getting old now.  But these thumper trips were unforgettable.  No gps.  No luggage, no comfort, no real clothing, no real fuel range, no electric start, no real destinations, and no money. But we made it work.  That DR600 was a reliable bike.  Like all the thumpers of that era.  And it was easy to start.  Unlike the XT.
