OK - let me start  :deal:   :deal:   :deal:

A huge thanks to everybody that came to enjoy the weekend.  It was a great pleasure to see that everybody enjoyed themselves, meeting old friends and putting new faces to old names....

Thanks Visarend, Spoedvark, Dutchman & Mrs Dutchman for the help behind the scenes.

We had various sponsors and I think we all must join Jules & Li when they visit CFT  :peepwall:   :peepwall:

Some non WD's came with and after the weekend Stephan joined us and he is now known as MyBlond  ::)

I believe that a person is never to old to learn something.  At Winterberg I was realized that:
A)  Sleep in your own tent - do not accept offers from any other friends to share a tent;
B)  If you are the lead bike - just ride - the others will follow;
C)  Do not sleep in the kitchen / close to a bar;
D)  You are never too old to make new friends.

The idea was to go home via Fort Fordyce, Seymour, gravel to the tar road below Hogsback, through the forest to Sandile dam, Stutterheim en then tar back to East London.  It happened like that except . . . . do not stop at Seymour and give your friends a choice.  :biggrin:

My riding partners were:

Stephan aka Willewragtig nr 1

Ed, aka Willewragtig nr 2

main.php

David, aka Willewragtig nr 3

As we enter at the bottom of Fort Fordyce.

Well saved  :deal:  :thumleft:  :biggrin:

As we joined the tar road, David said that he has not much fuel left.  I said that he can fill up in Hogsback as we are not going to Fort Beaufort now . . . .

At Seymour I asked if we should not go up the pass as it is only 20 km to go instead of +/- 60km's.  The conversation after that was as follows:
A  Stephan - Whatever you do, I go with.....
B  David - I don't have much petrol left......
C  Ed - just showing is finger forward.......
D  JMOL - OK - but then we help each other.

So here we go, I'm in front and at the tree that has a sign that says no entry, only 4x4's, the bikes behind me stop.  I'm thinking - OK.  So they insist that we have to stop....

Wrong.  The guys just want to stretch their AAA Batteries  :lol8:
