The next morning I take  a quick spin with my friend to look at some of his sheep and then I am off. Next town Nuwerus, nope the Wimpy with Engen service station have not been built!! :lol8:
Short stint on tar to Bitterfontein a quick fillup and then direction Kliprand which I miss because I turned right just before it to Loeriesfontein.
I was being hammered by a wind from the left and it was getting worse!!!

I am getting nearer to where the wind crosses the road.
The Sishen railline is still as straight as ever!! :thumleft:
Then I ride through the dustbowl crossing the road and shortly after I met this nutter!!! Francois have been on the road for two years from France down the east coast of Africa and from Zambia he cut across to Namibia. Next plan is to get to Cape Town and try get a lift on a big ship to either NZ or Aus. He has been battling the same wind since Kliprand that morning!! Surely as tough as an anvil!!! :thumleft:
I filled up in Loeriesfontein tried to say hi to Hingsding if only the useless crowd at the garage did not tell me he had moved and explained the wrong street!!!I should have just driven to his old place if I could remember where it was. :biggrin:
Big clowds were chasing me to Calvinia, what a stunning old farmhouse standing empty.
Just before Calvinia I had to have a bite to eat and when big drops were falling on my head I had to cut that short too!!! Quick fillup in CAN and then another 32 kms to a friends farm. I was almost 100% sure I'd either get wet on the way or it would come down in buckets 5 minutes after I pull in the yard.
Sadly the rain did not fall!! :thumleft:

We farm a bit I look at his new barn after the old one burnt down two years ago. Took a drive to look for a flock of sheep and then we do the braai thing!! I really got spoilt by my friends!!! :thumleft: :drif: :drif:
My best 4 legged buddy named Spike, one of the if not the most beautiful bull terriers I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!! :thumleft: :thumleft: :drif: :drif:
My friend's electric TW200, pulls like a train and frugal on the battery if you control the right hand.
Apparently I should try work on my smile when a camera is pointed at me!!! :lol8: ;D
The whole of Middelpos, I saw no new developments!! :thumleft:

It seems some good rains have fallen in the area for a change :thumleft: :thumleft:
Closer to Sutherland the road started to get really bad and my speed came down to 60 and less at some spots. Before Sutherland my enemy the wind started blowing from the right. ;D
Filled up in Sutherland and took the tar to Matjiesfontein and then a dirt shortcut to Laingsburg pics 90 and 91.
Took the dirt section to Ladismith some drifts got some damage too here.Took a break to grab a bite and from there the wind was trying it's best to blow me off the road!!!
Stopped at home dog tired, but head sorted for a while!! :thumleft:

Daan lui vir Jaco Pieters by Rumax in CW. Daai conversion was R40 000 en kan aan meeste grondpad donor bikes gefit word. Baie populer nou is op kwad bikes vir die wingerd boere.
Jaco se landlyn 023 342 6070.
Bike word gefit met n digitale dash met die ombouing. Volgens my vriend as jy flat taps ry kry mens so +- 60-70 kms uit die battery. As mens plaas spoed ry kry hy maklik 120 kms en meer.
As mens n plaasbike het watse enjin moeg is is hierdie ombouing dalk n som wat kan klop. Die klient verskaf die donor bike hulle verskaf die res.
