OK , so im new to this whole adventure biking thing. As a matter of fact , I don't even have my learners (have car license) . x) But I have always wanted a cruiser to go with these lekker old ballies with the big beards cruising to Margate every Sunday
So , i jumped into the deep end after my brother-in-law ( [member=13856]DJLSteenkamp[/member] ) convinced me that im still young (21) and I should rather get a adventure bike... alrighty then , off to Gumtree , and after looking at a few KTM's , Hondas , BMWs and Yamas. I Decided to go with the DR650. Very nice condition 2009 model , serviced , new sprocket, chain and tyres. I Went and looked at the bike everything all in good nic. So i paid happily and off I went.
With the inspiration from [member=14258]m0lt3n[/member] (https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=204555.0), I am going to document all the changes , work and problems as they happen. So for anyone who wants to read up on a noob , come along for the ride... :deal:
When your Brother-in-law is a KTM fanboy and you leave him alone for 5mins with your Suzuki ... :imaposer:
My 1st mod. I took the stock bulky mirrors off and used my in-laws old KTM mirros (he has fold able mirrors now).
Thanks for reading
