Mambat said I must go on ahead so long as I knew the route & that he would be with me shortly....... >:D >:D >:D

I turned right & twisted the throttle for quite a long section down the road...... & sure enough it wasn't long before I started to hear that "Distinctive Growl" of a prowling KTM coming up behind me. I moved over slightly, while looked over my shoulder, to let him pass......to which Mabmat signaled for me to keep on going. I figured he wanted to see if I had listened to the advice he'd share over the past 2 days ::) ;D

I continued to press on, with my "instructor" close on my tale,.... approaching each corner with a little caution, but also putting into practice all the various things Mambat had shared/advised me to do, in order to improve my riding & cornering. I did not want OT disappoint him,..... but there was this one section the road (+-80-100m long) where the nice hard surface instantly turned into a pretty loose "Sand Pit" (or so it felt like that to me :patch: ;D). I had no option, but to "keep Standing up, keep Looking up & keep the Frikking Throttle WIDE OPEN"!!!!

Here are 2 screenshots of me hitting that sand,.... going from the LHS of the road to almost all the way over to the RHS, in a matter of seconds ;D ;D. I will truly honest here in saying that I got a little nervous for a while there & @ one stage I thought I could easily loose it here,.... BUT I pulled through & greatfull for that. :thumleft:

Thanks again Mambat for your tutoring & advice. I truly have learnt a lot & definitely feel more confident. :thumleft: :thumleft: I hope I didn't dissapoint you?? ;) ;D

Daai Kapteinskloof se sand is naar

Buzz... this was the section just before Paleisheuwel, but you are quite correct about some of the sections up to & around Kapteinskloof Pass ;) :thumleft:

After we got to the end of that section, we waited for everyone to regroup & then headed off in the direction of "Kapteinskloof Pass".

Here are a few cool shots I got of Mambat showing us how to do a "short wheelie" >:D >:D of just short of 4 telephone poles :thumleft: :thumleft: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

@ the end of Kapteinskloof Pass, everyone regrouped again & then the guys said they where gonna call it a day & head off back home via the N7. We all decided that we'll all head off to Pieketberg to Refuel & get something Cold to drink... then say our good-byes & head off home.

After we all departed from the Garage, I decided to complete the last section, Solo of the Route which included the loop off the N7 just ouside Pieketberg, over to "Die Brug" & back onto the N7.

I always love going past this way. The roads are just perfect & that old steel bridge just has something special about it!! :thumleft: :thumleft: ;D

I had just got onto the N7 on route to Moreesburg, where I was gonn hook a left turn to travel the last section of Gravel to Malmsbury....... only to find Murdock on the side of the road with a "instant flat front wheel". Buff was there with him.

We both assisted Murdock to get the tyre fixed & then departed on our separate ways again.

Finnally I got onto the last section of my "Planned 2 Days of Looooong Overdue Gravel Travel" just outside of Moorreesbug, which lead me all the way to the top end of Malmsbury.

These roads were also just PERFECT & it truly was the best time of the day to be enjoying them. The road had the odd Sandy Sections as well as some really odd shapped buildings along the way... I think there are some really "Thin" people living in that one building in the photos. :lol8: :lol8: :lol8:

The last photo show very very clearly,...... that I AM VERY HAPPY!!! :thumleft: :thumleft: ;D

Thank you, Bring It On, for organising a fantastic trip - a trip that I simply can't get out of my mind. Thank you for putting it all together, for your tremendous enthusiasm, for your warm friendship and for your unfailing encouragement. And thank you for a superb ride report, which has taken considerable time and effort.

Thank you too to Buff, Mambat, Rough Rider and Murdock. Riding with you and Bring It On was a great privilege and a wonderful experience - an experience I will value highly.

Hi BIO

Thanks again for an excellent RR!
The screen grabs are fantastic, I am definitely speaking to Santa about a GoPro!
It would have been great having one when following you on that high speed run!

Looking forward to the next ride together and your video uploads....

Cheers

Mambat

Great RR, thanks Shaun  :thumleft:

I still haven't had time to put the video together but here's a few screen grabs to keep you interested.

I'll do them per rider. Some have a few more than others, sorry guys.
