EC BASH 2014 - The Group Report

Lekker okes , it was pretty good to wake up sober on both days . Made this year a quieter bash for myself and felt so much better , but yet had that niggling you let the drinking team down feeling .
Also the first time for Dirt Junkie and myself to sleep in the " pensioners corner " with Veldbrand and Footpeg se pa , We even had to pitch their tents . The old farts !

Next time for sure  :thumleft:

Oom Pad, Lister, Jackmeister, Sheldon and I only left George at 2H00 on Friday and after a few stops in the kloof arrived at 6.





Friday night was cold ! Jup, thanks for the newspaper to put under my mattress, but I was still cold and considered getting up and reading it by the fire instead  :













On Sunday morning we were the last to leave camp.  I had packed up, loaded my bike and was sitting chilling with a coffee watching the rest of the group get there stuff together.  Finally, as they put helmets on and started engines...... I realised my bike keys were missing   
     
After unloading everything and emptying all my bags  :dousing:    I found them wrapped inside my tent  :eek7:      Loaded up for the second time while the group chirped useful info such as safe places to store bike keys etc. etc       
 

It was great seeing old friends and making a few new ones.  Where do I put my name down for next year !  :ricky:

Baie lekker gebash en klomp nuwe honne ontmoet.  Dis my eerste rit na die Baviaans toe en dis bitter baie mooi.  Ek is seker daar is plekke in die kloof waar g'n mens se voete nog was nie.

Paar fodies ...

Eerste volgooi op Willowmore.  Teen die tyd lekker nat gereën.  Maar die wind  :eek7:  amper van ons fietse afgewaai.  Ek het lekker saam jou gekuier en gery Woody  :thumleft:

Die bashers begin saamdrom:

Die spyseniers het baie hard agter die vure gewerk.  Baie dankie julle ouens, dis dikwels ondankbare werk maar die kos was lekker, volop en die koffiewater altyd an't kook  :thumleft:  Weet net dat dit opreg waardeer word

Ek was ook daar

Daar is soveel mooi landskappe, mens weet nie wat om te pos en wat om te los nie.  Hierdie paar was vir my bitter mooi gewees.

Die blomme is so mooi en sommer die hele wêreld vol.  Plumbago met die pragtige bloeisels staan die hange heel blou.

Ek het my naam lekker velskoen gemaak met die skills challenge, verder geen beserings of skade nie. Maar daar is party manne en maninne wat darem kan.  Volgende jaar sleep ek die Bushlandertjie saam dan bars julle  ;D

En toe Sondag moet die pad huistoe aangepak word    Die landskappe is nog steeds bekoorlik, ek ry stadig,  die KTM manne roost my maar ek stop en ry, neem fotos, ry verder.  En dis vrekken koud!!  Het bo buite die kloof gestop om my thermals aan te trek.  Geen fodies nie, jammer  :imaposer:
