Perhaps you can consider mounting some rubber grommet to absorb excess vibrations?
Going on a hunting trip on the weekend of the 13th... ek ry met die bike om bietjie gremlins uit te sort.
Will see how it does vibration wise, I think the leads plugged into the USB for the GPS etc will assist in damping vibration.
If not some tap washers will do the job.;)

Ek is baie jammer ek gaan die Bash nie maak nie, sou lekker gewees het om 'n ent saam jou te ry Robbie.

Lekker om op pensioen te wees ne !!!

Jealousy makes me nasty ;)

Gaan jy jou 303 oor jou skouer gooi as jy ry? Gaan amper soos Bike Squad wees.
:coffee:

Wired up and tested... now to install and connect it all.

and spliced! Sorted the chocolate box splices I did a while back for the running lights, fitted new LED globes that had blown. Battery cleaned and on charge to go back on bike tomorrow.

Today was change spark plug, air filter, pop carb out to fit new hose and filter, test all lights and re-assemble. Still need to fix a niggle on the exhaust but that will have to wait for monday. Bike runs and is rideable! Will be doing a test run on 12/13 August to Sneeuberge for a hunting weekend, that should indicate if anything else needs attention. Prior to the bash will be time to swap wheels and do an oil service.
Cured the flickering on my LED running lights and the rear lamp, suspect it was one of the bad connections making a minor short.

So... I have been thinking... adding some range to the 21L tank may be required... and voila... Pioneer 5L tank, could buy direct R390 but they charge R522 delivery! This is a Rotopax clone as far as I could see, very sturdy...
So local is lekker, once again Safari 4X4 were my go to for R491.
Plywood will be the backing plate for the project. From what I figured out I could mount another on the RH side as well... but we will first do some prototyping...
The extra 5L is around 200k minimum extra range on my existing 400k.
I will post as it progresses... has to be finished for next weekend's dry run to Sneeuberge hunt.:coffee:

I run one of those 5L cans on my bike, if you are looking for a nice mounting solution contact Flying Brick for a screw on mount that passes through that centre hole. Very sturdy and convenient…can’t remember the cost though. Have attached a pic of it mounted on my bike

The mock up and painting is complete, I just need some Allen key bolts, good contact adhesive, self stick foam rubber strip and patience to do the final assembly tomorrow. The hunting trip will be the shakedown this weekend.
