Decided to take a leisurely cruise up to Oasis... when I got to Malmesbury, I was in two minds... dirt (where I moered off last time I was there) or gravel....

Dirt won!  :biggrin:

Amazing how the landscape changes from lush greenery and mud to dull brown and sandy.... but all still really pretty!

Have a quick bite in Piketberg... only shade I could find was in the Bottle Stores entrance...  ;D

Between Citrusdal and Algeria road I have a massive freak out of note .... didn't enjoy it at all. Sat for a long while and had a stern talking to myself!!  :lol8:

We left Wellington at 10h40, 1st stop Calabash to wait on a late arrival

Filled up in Ceres and headed for the Tankwa Padstal.

When we got to about 1km from Mount Ceder Sean had his off. Myself and Buys went to Oasis to organize some help while Pokerface and Ernst stayed with Sean.
They arrived about an hour afterwards with Sean in plenty of pain.

I was too busy playing nurse on Saturday night so took only one or two fotos  . I dislike taking fotos of people when they are injured badly so didn't take any fotos of Shaun or the ambulance etc , but I took a discreet one of him from behind, and of his injured bike .

He came off and tumbled over the top of his KTM and landed in a ditch just 10 kilos from Oases. Eina the poor man was in a lot of pain.  He is ok , no bones broken but bruised/ tore muscles , soft tissue and ligaments , ouch.

As we were decending down the pass towards the Oasis,.... we got Gerrit on the way out, with that KTM on the trailer. Never nice to see something like that. Once we got to the Oasis for the night, Chantell told us what had happened. Hope you heal soo Shaun. :thumleft:
