Our famous Hermanus rider, Brian, passed away near Sutherland while riding his bike. He was coming from a trip.

He was well loved by everyone and touched us all deeply with his smile, his enthusiasm inspired us all for many years. His spirit will ride with us till the end.

Those who knew him and who wants to come to his funeral: Bosko church, Hermanus on Thursday (8 January 2015) at 11:00. We will ride with our bikes to the church

Let the legend live on......

**** is this Brian Geyer?

I knew he was in that area, at some stage doing some knife making, if this is the old commander of the Gunsmiths in Silverton Pretoria.

Eish condolences, the last time i saw him was in the mid 90s just before he retired, we worked on some projects together.

He was a multiple springbuck in ipsc shooting and a great contributor to the firearms fraternity in sa., designing many firearms. Last I heard was that he was making knives with the likes of Des Horn.

Yip that's him, he was also a member of the Knifemakers Guild, and great friends with Des, they shared knifemaking and of course the shooting, both of them great shots in the Practical Pistol discipline.
Does anybody have some details of how he died?

I spoke to some collegues, there is still some speculation, some said it might hace been a heart attack on the bike. The pm should reveal detail.

Sorry my mistake on the previous post, he was an ISU shooter and not IPSC.

Can the mods please combine the two threads about this?
