I do live in a beautiful part of the world
And yes, the Bospad section is super painful with cyclists, I am sure many of them get taken out along there, they usually dont stick to their side of the road, and its very narrow in some places.
But the same can be said for some cars and even other motorbikes, I have had one or 2 near misses with motorbikes who arent sticking to their side of the road.

I love the 7 passes road. We are comming to SA in March and staying at a farm at the 7 pass road.
Last year we did a part by car. This year i hope to find a nice and cheap bike to drive is in totaal freedom!

Another lekka little spot on the 7 passes road is Tea Junxion. Had some really good 'sarmies' there in such nice surroundings.

Hoekwil Country Café. Well worth a visit for a piece of cheese cake.

Just rode this road, the past weekend after watching my son play hockey at a venue in Rheenendal. I did sections of it twice and then on the way home to Durbanville, I did the entire seven passes and then another 7 passes there after, to get back to Durbanville. fantastic ride, although mine was more rushed, very scenic and very well worth the ride as the passes are in excellent condition

If you drive from Hoekwil, where can you detour back to the N2, or another road, to get to George?

Down Whites road, can even detour to have a look at map of Africa, but you will have to go down through wilderness heights back to the N2 and around via Kaaimansgat.
