Good one Pete.

Even I had my misgivings about it but I think everybody appreciated your presence and some okes were very grateful for your help and assistance in the end.
We just need to find a way to unobtrusively remove the batteries from that Energiser bunny when everybody wants to go to bed, eventually...

There were a few reasons why I was looking forward to this trip

1. I like to ride  :ricky:
2. We were going to one of my SERENITY spots  Well, as explained, I did pick it after very careful consideration last year... about all of a minutes worth, and what a good choice  :3some:
3. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones
4. Riding and spending the weekend with my son, Kyle. We've done a few trips together, but this would be the first time he would share my passion... gravel travel. By all accounts he enjoyed himself, although he seldom shows much expression (must take after his mother  :xxbah: )
5. Just having fun. And I did

For the rest, we tell it with pics

1. Getting ready to leave - Kyle and myself
2. Mako, myself and Kyle. Mako, who is from EL, slept over to make the early brekkie with us at Humansdorp.

Its bleddie cold on the road. We meat Difflock and Mr T at the Wimpy for brekfis. No show by BMWPE, who had decided to sleep in and will catch up later.

The plan had been to do tar to around Uniondale and gravel from there. After all the rains we had we decided we don't feel like schlep and to slab it, leaving us lots of time to get to Koedoeskloof.

1. Getting together at the Wimpy in Humansdorp
2. Koffie stop in Joubertina.

I've always just ridden past this spot near Calitzdorp and today we stop there for a scrumptous ostrich burger lunch. BMWPE catches up and joins us.

Dit is waarom eksklusiewe klubs eksklusief bly. Nou wil elke garden variety BMW weer kom skouers skuur met XT heritage. :xxbah: :pot:

Ons daag op by Koedoeskloof, die groetery word gedoen en kamp gemaak. Die parkeer area en terasse is nog leeg, maar dit sal vol raak. Paar manne is al aan die kuier.

Laat ons begin name by gesigte sit. Daars klomp ouens wat nie daar was nie en graag sal wil weet wie die Honne is. (net vir jou Norman  :thumleft: )

A big thank you to Veltbrand and Co, magic weekend. Also to Jupiter for a good idea, and all you entrants who made the event so special.  Great connecting forum names to people. Lots more work to do in that regard.
